UT3 UToledo. UTeach. UTouch the Future is a unique opportunity for UT students to get involved with in the College of Education.

UT3 offers academic, professional, and financial support for students interested in becoming middle and high school science and math teachers.  UT3 students and faculty are a community, with faculty mentoring the students throughout their UT experience and into their teaching careers. 

UT3 students are eligible for financial assistance opportunities, paid internships, and scholarships.

Why Teach?

Science and mathematics teachers are in great demand throughout the country.  Teachers have rewarding professions with many professional and personal benefits.  Your child may want to consider a program and profession that will allow him or her to:

  • Join a service oriented, trusted profession that contributes to society
  • Share knowledge of science or math in creative ways
  • Gain job security, a rewarding salary, and good benefits
  • Experience the nationwide employment opportunities and academic calendar year working schedule

Sound Interesting?

  • Once your UT student is enrolled, he or she may apply to UT3.
  • Enroll in “Exploring Math/Science Teaching”, a course for students interested in investigating the science and mathematics teaching profession.  It is a 3 credit-hour course offered in the Fall and Spring Semesters with free tuition for qualifying students.
