    Ohio Alternative Educators License

At the completion of the required courses, Noyce scholars may apply for OhioAlternative Educators License (OAEL.) Holders of the OAEL are eligible to teach their subject area of specialization in grades 7-12. OAEL is a two-year, non-renewable license, issued on verification of employment by the superintendent of the employing school district.

Teachers with a two-year OAEL license must pass PRAXIS II PLT to be eligible for the two-year provisional license.

Noyce course work may apply towards a Master’s degree in education. Noyce scholars are required to teach for two years in a high-needs school.
