UT3 offers four generous financial assistance options UT3 students who remain in the program may receive up to $12,800.00 in total financial assistance depending on their application, need, and qualifications.

Noyce Scholarship The Noyce Scholarship at The University of Toledo prepares professionals with Baccalaureate degrees in areas of science, technology, engineering, or mathematics to teach science or mathematics in grades 7-12. This five-month, fast track program, provides academic, financial, and professional support culminating in the Ohio Alternative Educator License, a non-traditional route for qualified baccalaureate degree-holders to transition to careers as classroom teachers. National Council of Teachers of Mathematics: The purpose of this grant is to provide financial support to college students preparing for teaching secondary school mathematics. For 2007-2008, up to two scholarships, with a maximum value of $10,000 each, will be awarded to persons currently completing their sophomore year of college, scheduling for full-time study at a four- or five-year college or university in the next academic year, and pursuing a career goal of becoming a certified teacher of secondary school mathematics. These scholarships are named in recognition of the outstanding contributions to mathematics education made by professors Frank Demana and Bert K. Waits of the Ohio State University. |

Loan Forgiveness Link for High Need Schools Information about Perkins and Stafford Loan forgiveness: To obtain a copy of the cancellation form for the Federal Family Education Loan Program, you must contact the holder of your loan. Don't know who currently is holding your loan? The Taxpayer-Teacher Protection Act (PL 108-409) authorizes up to $17,500.00 in loan forgiveness to eligible qualified math, science and special education teachers.
